Ritual Refelction - 3 (on flickr)
I am lucky.
On my last trip to Ritual Roasters, in The Mission neighborhood of San Francisco, I bought a bag of the Cup of Excellence winner, El Salvador Finca Matalapa and re-connected with an aquaintence I made through Ecco Café a long time ago. He was nice enough to grant me access to a fresher batch of the Matalapa and also, upon inquiring as to what his favorite coffee of the moment was, handed me a bag of their Finca Mareno, Santa Barbara, Honduras.
Like I said, I’m lucky.
I’m enjoying both and promised feedback, which I intend to give as soon as I am able.

Some people have those insipid inspirational posters …
… I have slide #13 of Merlin Mann’s presentation, “How to Blog”. It’s been web-clipped to my MacBook’s Dashboard for easy access and serendipitous evocation.

Pizzaria Delfina Composite (click image to enlarge)
We had not been to Delfina Pizzaria in some time but found it, in all ways, the same as it ever was: with a bundle of names on the chalkboard reflecting both the impressive crowd of people waiting out front and the intimidating wait time given by the hostess and the pizza — hell, all the food, really — justifying both.
You can also see the image at flickr.

I was struck by how the sun, at it’s late afternoon/early evening angle, was creating such a stark contrast between two adjacent sides of the building. … read more …

On my walk home from work each day I pass under highway 101 in Larkspur. It is easy to see where lanes were added at one time and when it was done, where the old structural supports were removed for the new. It’s like reading rings on a tree.

I had the Ham & Cheese Croissant. My, what a croissant it was. It was lunch. So tasty, so heavy. It must have been a pound.

That Bastyr changed my life! That Bastyr … it’ll change yours too.
I saw these damn Bastyr ads all over Seattle. I’m sure it’s an excellent education.
