Chris O’Shea’s fascinating, if slightly unnerving art installation. There are more details at his website. I wonder if there is any chance of it coming to the U.S. Via Kottke

Someone created a Google map outlining the locations and routes for that most classic of classic movie car chases, where Steve McQueen wrings every last ounce of performance out of his ‘68 Mustang, on the streets of San Francisco, in “Bullitt”.
Bullitt - Steve McQueen Famous Car Chase
This is the “high quality” version so, if you have a “blazing-fast-for-1996″ internet connection like myself, please have patience. After all, it’s worth it.

Good name for a new dance? Perhaps, but it’s just the sound of the jellyfish taking form.

From the description:
Neuroanatomist Jill Bolte Taylor had an opportunity few brain scientists would wish for: One morning, she realized she was having a massive stroke.
Another — one of what must be thousands — valuable presentation culled from the treasure that is the TED website.

This is How we Roll in India
Sure, it’s scary how this guy is riding his motorcycle but, really, how shocking can it be when you take a closer look at just how insane everyone else is driving on the road all around him.

I’ll finally get to see these guys live this summer.
From LaBlogotheque’s Les Concerts a Emporter: #64.2 - BEIRUT - “The Penalty”
Tonight, my girlfriend and I are going to see one of the last remaining performances of Zach Condon’s band Beirut. At least in it’s current form. In April, Zach wrote, on the band’s website, that all of Beirut’s stops on it’s planned European tour had been cancelled and that he was breaking up the band, promising to return “in some form” at an unspecified future date.
This video, taken from La Blogotheque’s excellent Les Conerts a Emporter series, is one of my all-time favorite versions of one of my favorite Beirut songs: “The Penalty”
Here’s to the speedy return of Mr. Condon to the music scene in whatever form he decides.
YouTube user danomano65 (ahhhh … a username after m’own hart) takes the time and effort to paste together all of this season’s “flash-forwards” from LOST and places them in chronological order. Hats off.
The season finale of LOST is on tomorrow at 9pm. My calendar is marked.
