Derek Powazek is closing the doors at Pixish, “[...] a way to engage creative people online to submit, judge, and source amazing images.” Along with said pronouncement, Mr. Powazek is nice enough to offer up some lessons, learned in the process of creating and maintaining a community based art market.

I suppose if my blog had the readership of Mr. Spolsky’s I might have something to worry about but as it is I can keep the low volume of lame (mostly SPAM, really) comments away by turning on Akismet from within my Wordpress blog’s admin panel and allowing or disallowing comments as I see fit.
